Set Up a printer for Shipping Labels

Windows Printer Drivers Installation:

  1. Download Zebra ZP 500 (EPL) drivers from https://www.fedex.zebra.com/drivers.asp
  2. (For "Your connection is not private" click Advanced then click Proceed to www.fedex.zebra.com (unsafe)
  3. Click on Current Driver: Zebra Designer Windows Drivers for the FedEx 2348, 2844, ZP 505, ZP 506, Z4MPlus DT, ZM400, ZT410, and ZT411 printers
  4. Save the file FedEx_4_7_0_0_certified_w10 to a local folder
  5. Go into the folder FedEx_4_7_0_0_certified_w10 and open/double-click on the setup (application) file
  6. Select to install Zebra Technologies\Zebra ZP 500(EPL)
  7. Click Next
  8. Select the first USB (Win 11 PCR_4_Port1) port if the printer is connected to a USB port
  9. Click Finish
  10. Click "Print test page" to verify if the printer is properly connected

Note: when the "Print test page" ends up with an error, go to Printer properties\Ports and manually uncheck the present port and check the next available USB port, then Apply, go click on "Print test page" and if you get another error repeat changing the ports until the right port is achieved.


Verify the Printer setup preferences:

(May vary on different versions of windows):

For Windows 11

  1. Go to Settings\Printers and Scanners
  2. Click on Zebra ZP 500 (EPL)
  3. Go to Printing Preferences\Options
  4. Settings: No of Copies: 1
  5. Paper Format/Layout: Portrait
  6. Paper Size: Width: 4:00", Height: 6.00"
  7. Click Apply

Note:  for labels printing outside/inside the paper modify the Scale: Go Custom and change the size until it fits.
