When and Why to Park a Listing
Provision: The "Park" feature applies exclusively to Amazon and Walmart marketplaces.
Introduction
To ensure accurate and trustworthy information between Sitnsell and the Seller’s Marketplace, all listings must match exactly.
What does the "Park" to the Listing Status?
Setting a listing to "Park" will zero out its inventory on the Seller's Market, rendering it inactive.
When is recomended to Use "Park" Status?
Use the "Park" status to:
- Mismatched or incorrect product listing details like gender, color, size, width, picture, or any other important detail of your product on the Seller's Market.
- Misuse of UPCs or EANs.
Important:
Listings flagged as "Missing ASIN," "No Matching ASIN," or "Approval Required" should not be parked if deleted, as all deleted listings with inventory is recomended to be re-published monthly to check for updates, parked listings are excluded.
Why is PARK Listing Status Necessary?
Isolation ensures incorrect listings are deactivated, preventing customer confusion, misrepresentation, and transaction errors, while preserving the accuracy and integrity of the Seller’s Marketplace.
Rules for Managing "Park" Listing Status
- You can't change the status of a "PARK" listing until it's unparked.
- You can not PARK a Listing in PROGRESS or in DELETING status
If the status does not update after a couple of hours, submit a ticket including the UPC and the Sales Marketplace.
Steps for Managing “Park” Status Listings in Sitnsell:
Before Changing a Listing to “Park” Status:
Identify and Verify Errors
Review both the Sitnsell and Seller’s Marketplace listings to confirm inconsistencies.
Correct the Information
Update the ASIN, size, or other attributes in Sitnsell as needed.
Reactivate the Listing
Publish and save the corrected details to resubmit to the Seller’s Marketplace.
Park if Unresolved
If the issue cannot be corrected, set the listing to “Park” to remove it from active status.
Managing Listings in “Park” Status:
- Confirm each listing is assigned an accurate reason code before applying “Park” status.
- For example, if a listing was flagged due to customer complaints, label it as “Customer Complaints” under the “Park” status to support future resolution.
- If a listing is confirmed to have incorrect product data (e.g., UPC, ASIN, size, or color) and cannot be corrected, update its status to both “Deleted” and “Park,” specifying the issue.
- This structured approach ensures clarity for future audits, corrections, or investigations.
Initiating the Park process for PARK Listing Status:
To maintain the integrity and accuracy of the listings on Sitnsell, it is imperative to swiftly isolate listings that are inconsistent with the Seller’s Market specifications. Here’s a structured procedure to effectively park such listings:
Isolating the Identified Listings
Promptly isolate the identified listings that do not conform to the Seller's Market specifications to prevent potential discrepancies or complications.
Editing the Listing
Access the editing feature by clicking on the Listing Title. This will allow for the modification and adjustment of the listing details as necessary.
Activating the Parking Process
Navigate to and locate the "Park" button. Clicking on this option will initiate the parking process, effectively suspending the listing from the marketplace.
Providing a Justification
Furnish a reason for the parking action. Ensure that the explanation consists of a minimum of six characters. Complete the action by pressing enter on the keyboard.
Initiating Un-Park Process for Park Listing Status in Sitnsell:
To transition your listing from a Park status back to the active marketplace, kindly follow the steps below:
Un-Parking the Listing
Locate and click the "PARK" button. Selecting this option will initiate the un-parking process of your listing.
Sending Listing to the Market
Subsequently, click on "In Progress". This action will facilitate the dispatch of your listing back to the active marketplace.
Managing “Park” and “Un-Park” Listing Status in Bulk via Excel – Sitnsell
Bulk Parking Listings
Export Listings
Filter and export the listings requiring status updates. Save the file in an accessible location.
Edit Excel File
- In the "RETIRE_MODE" column, enter "park" (case-sensitive) for each listing to be parked.
- In the "RETIRE_REASON" column, provide a clear reason (minimum 6 characters).
Save Changes
Save the file without modifying the header.
Import to Sitnsell
Import the updated Excel file back into Sitnsell. Confirm that all changes are correctly applied.
Bulk Un-Parking Listings
Export Listings
Filter and export the relevant listings.
Edit Excel File
- In the "RETIRE_MODE" column, delete the word "park" for listings to be unparked.
Save Changes
Save the file with headers intact.
Import to Sitnsell
Import the file into Sitnsell and verify the updates.
Reminder:
Regularly review “PARK” listings against Seller Marketplace listings to identify any brand owner updates or corrections.
